Who we are
Phoenix Dog Grooming ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. This means we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.
What information we collect
When you send an order request we collect:
- your name
- your email address and phone number
- the products, quantities, sizes or colours you ask about
- whether you'd like delivery or collection, and your delivery address if you give one
- anything else you choose to tell us in the form
- the date and time you sent the request
To protect the form from spam we also keep a short-lived, scrambled (non-readable) record of the browser and network used to send it. We cannot use this to identify you.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to deal with your order request: to check stock, contact you to confirm your order, the total price and how to pay, and to arrange delivery or collection.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list or send you marketing messages.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law, we handle your information because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you (processing your order request), and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to customer enquiries and keeping our form free from abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep order request details for 12 months after the request is completed or cancelled, and then delete them. If your request becomes a sale, we may need to keep basic sale records for longer (usually 6 years) to meet tax and accounting rules. Anti-spam records are deleted automatically within a few days.
Who we may share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it where necessary to fulfil your order, for example with:
- a courier or delivery company, so they can deliver your order
- a supplier, if we need to order an item in for you
- the secure service providers who host this website and its data on our behalf
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your information
